Indigenous Leadership is A State of Becoming

A personal reflection on what leadership and Indigeneity mean to me, Michael Monias. This piece explores leadership not as a title, but as a state of becoming: showing up, learning, healing, mentoring, and trying to be better than who we were yesterday. Rooted in lived experience, community responsibility, and the people who shaped me, this reflection looks at Indigenous leadership through care, accountability, humility, and the responsibility we carry for the next generation.
