INDIGENOUS-LED CONSULTING

When everything matters, someone has to help you decide what comes first.

Monias Consulting & Projects (MCP) helps First Nations and Indigenous organizations make decisions they can defend, turn those decisions into work that can move, and build the internal capacity to carry it forward.

You don’t need to know which service you need before you connect with Monias Consulting & Projects. Working that out is part of our first conversation.

Do any of these sound familiar?

The Three Pathways

Vision & Strategy

When direction, priorities, and decisions are not clear.

Work through evidence, options and trade-offs so leadership can make a decision it can explain and defend.

Implementation & Delivery

When everyone agrees something needs to happen, but it is not moving.

Create ownership, sequencing, project structure and follow-through so approved work becomes actual work.

Community & Relationships

When the quality of the decision depends on the people around it.

Design engagement, governance, facilitation and relationships so the right people are meaningfully part of the work.

How MCP Works.

  1. Understand the problem.

Start with what is happening, not a preselected service.

  2. Work out what the real decision or delivery issue is.

The stated problem and the underlying problem are not always the same.

  3. Agree the right engagement.

Scope the work to the situation rather than forcing the situation into a package.

  4. Deliver with your people.

Leadership and staff stay connected to what is being decided and what they own. Not handed results at the end.

  5. Leave capability behind.

Hand over usable systems, tools, knowledge and documented decisions.

  6. Continue only where a real need remains.

A continuing relationship is useful only when the client genuinely needs it.

Why MCP?

Indigenous-led and Indigenous-focused

Jurisdiction, governance, community priorities and self-determination are part of the analysis, not an afterthought.

Strategy and Delivery in One Practice

The plan and the ability to run it live in the same practice. There is no handoff between the person who wrote it and the person who has to implement it.

Capability Transfer by Default

The measure is not how dependent a client becomes on MCP. The measure is what the organization can run after MCP leaves.

Evidence You Can Trace

The reasoning behind MCP's questions and recommendations is visible. You can see the sources, what they say, and where MCP's interpretation begins.
